Kathryn J. (Katie) Hamister serves as the Executive Director of The Hamister Family Foundation, dedicated to supporting non-profits in underserved communities through education, healthcare research, and economic growth initiatives. With a certificate in non-profit management from Duke University and a BFA in photography from Savannah College of Art and Design, Katie’s background blends creativity and philanthropy seamlessly.

Prior to her role at the foundation, Katie’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to own and operate a documentary photography business and a product line of handmade photo albums. Her commitment to community extends beyond her professional duties; she serves on multiple boards, including the Hilary Grace Foundation and the Alliance Foundation at Roswell Park.

In her leisure time, Katie is an avid supporter of her two children’s endeavors and actively participates in triathlons and fundraisers advocating for cyclist safety. As an ambassador for #itcouldbeme, she works towards fostering safer roads for pedestrians and cyclists, further exemplifying her dedication to making a positive impact in her community.
