Hamister Group Hires VPs of Hotel Operations, Sales

BUFFALO, NY -- Hamister Group, LLC is pleased to announce the hiring of Mark Miller and Phil Alterio.

Miller is Hamister Group's new Vice President Operations, Hotels. Alterio is Hamister Group's new Vice President of Sales.

Miller has more than 15 years of experience in hospitality operations management.

He previously served as Pillar Hotels & Resorts’ Regional Director of Operations from 2008 to 2009, then as Vice President from 2010 to 2016. As Vice President he was responsible for the driving results of 40-60 hotels at any given time.  Company-wide, he helped build the training department and oversaw strategic services like Task Force personnel and guest service support. Before Pillar Hotels & Resorts, he was Regional Director of Operations from 2003-2008 for TMI Hospitality.

He graduated in 1999 from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Business Administration and Management.

Alterio has more than 22 years of experience in hospitality sales and marketing.

He previously served as the Director of Sales & Marketing for Buffalo Niagara Marriott, owned/managed by TPG Hotels & Resorts for nearly the last nine years. Preceding that he was Director of Sales & Marketing for Adam’s Mark Buffalo Niagara, and an Area & Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for Lodgian, Inc.

He graduated in 1991 from Niagara University with a B.S. in Commerce with a concentration in Marketing.
