Kathryn Hamister

Vice President and Executive Director, Hamister Family Foundation

Kathryn J. (Katie) Hamister, serves as the Executive Director of The Hamister Family Foundation. Our mission is to serve non-profits in the community that support education in underserved communities, healthcare research and non-profits who lend to the economic growth in our communities. Katie holds a certificate from Duke University in non-profit management. Katie comes from a creative background with a BFA from Savannah College of Art and Design, majoring in photography. Prior to joining Hamister Group, LLC as Associate Creative Director, Katie owned and operated a documentary photography business and had her own product line of handmade photo albums. 

Katie serves on the board of the Hilary Grace Foundation, Roswell Park’s Alliance Foundation & The board of Trustees of Buffalo Seminary (97’). She also serves on the capital campaign committee for WEDI’s new West Side Bazaar. 

In her free time Katie can be found cheering on her two kids. She is a triathlete and participates in as many fundraisers involving swimming, biking, and running as she can. As an avid cyclist and crash survivor she is an ambassador for #itcouldbeme a 501 c 3, whose mission is to change the narrative between cyclists and motor vehicle drivers to make the roads safer for pedestrians and cyclists. 

She often participates in the Ride for Roswell and the Empire State Ride to further support the Alliance Foundation at Roswell Park. 

The Hamister Family Foundation works under a grant proposal process and meets with its board bi-annually to review submissions.
